Friday Night Summer Series
The Friday Night Summer Series has been running since 1992. This was known originally as the “Inter Club Mountain Bike Summer Series” as all races were aranged by seperate clubs with a central organsier. This was then re-named to The Friday night Summer series (FNSS) to encourage more riders to take part, as many riders wrongly thought you needed to be a cycling club member to ride.
FNSS has been running continuously since 1992, even foot and mouth could not stop us, and the series now enters its 26th season. We’re proud of our history and we remain the cheap, local friendly series open to all. In 2010 we developed our own electronic tag timing system to cope with the increased racer numbers.
The series attracts upwards of 100 riders per event, of all abilities, from all over the East Midlands. Fridays in the summer round here mean FNSS.
