Home  /  Blog  /  Current Page

Well it still didn’t rain, although the wind tested the riders to the full on the runway sections of the lap. FULL RESULTS

The mass start was caught on video by Rider Gary Houghton UTUBE START VIDEO it shows clearly that poor Ryan Henry had an almost immediate puncture leaving Mark Proudman and Leszek Jezierski to act out their full on battle for the runners up series position behind Ryan.

Mark Proudman took the win after a close fight and the pair go into the final race at Greetham with Les 1 point ahead. A second place for Mark will claim that second spot unless Les wins. a third for Mark and it will go to countback of the 7th result.

Tom Wright took a superb third place and if can repeat that in the last round he could claim 4th Overall for the series.

The Veterans race and series was claimed tonight by Lloyd Bettles, Scott Rose pushed him hard but dropped back on the later laps for second with Mike Winters third. Its still open for the final two series podium places, A win for either Scott or Mike in the final round would gain them enough points to jump Nick Towers who is holding second at the moment.

Rich Jones took his 7th win in the U23 calss with a fine second to Ben Morris

Vanessa Perkins chased Hollie Bettles hard again but like last week Hollie held on and crowned a great night for the Bettles family by resuming the mantle of series leader. Its not a done deal because if Roz Giles can win the final round she will take the title but its a tough ask. Louise Brown beat Roz  to grab the final podium step at to nights race.

Situation normal in the Youths race; Bradley Symonds from Ross Marriott and Louis Kilworth, fittingly how they will finish the overall series for 2013.

It was another  MI-racing 1-2 in the Grand vets, Tim Stowe  makes it an overall clean sweep with 6 counting wins, Pete Busby second and a fine third from Geoff Baines. Busby now takes second in the series in a super tight battle with Jack Peterson. They are so tightly matched that both have 3 x 100 pts, 1 x 99 pts and 4 x 98 points and 1 x 97 points.  Petes tenth race result is the decider at the moment which is better than Jacks. It all comes down to the final round, as near as you will ever get to a head to head for the series position, should be interesting.

Its a similar fight to the end between Carl Stukenbrock and Geoff Baines for 4th overall in this category too.
